repairmyvideo.com repairs damaged video files: you upload a copy of a broken recording, our automated engine rebuilds its structure, and if the result passes our playability verification you can download it. We work on the copy you upload — we never touch the original on your card, phone, or drive. Keep your original file until you have downloaded the result and verified it yourself.
The service is currently free while in beta. When paid recovery launches, the commitment stays as published across this site: analysis and diagnosis are free, and a fee is charged only for a successful repair — an output that has passed our automated playability verification: the file parses, and its first, last, and sampled frames genuinely decode. A successful repair can be partial, but only when the shortfall is data genuinely missing from your file: if your file still holds recoverable footage beyond what we returned, we do not call that a success and it is not charged.
So the engine can do its job, you grant us a limited license to receive, store, copy, and automatically analyze the uploaded file and to produce the repaired output — all within the retention windows in our privacy notice. The engine also learns from structural metadata — container layout, codec parameters, index structure — so that files from the same camera model repair better for everyone. That structural data contains none of your picture or sound; as the privacy notice says, your actual footage is never shared, sold, published, or used to train AI models.
Don't upload material that is illegal to possess or distribute; don't use the service to violate someone else's privacy or rights; don't probe, overload, or attempt to break the service. We may refuse, stop, or delete a job that violates these terms, and where the law requires it we report and preserve rather than delete.
Video repair works on whatever data actually survives in your file, and sometimes not enough survives. We promise honest effort and honest reporting — including telling you plainly when a file cannot be recovered — but we cannot promise that any particular file will be recovered, fully or at all. The service and every result are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. A recovered file is reconstructed from damaged data: verify it end to end before deleting your original, and treat any use of recovered footage as evidence according to the rules that apply where you are.
To the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or the value of footage that could not be recovered; and our total liability for all claims arising from the service is capped at the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $25. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
If a third party brings a claim against us because of a file you uploaded — its contents, your rights to it, or the way you used the service or the recovered output — you agree to indemnify us for the resulting damages and reasonable costs.
We may preserve or disclose files or records where required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a public authority — and we may preserve specific files while we determine whether such an obligation applies to them. A legal matter of this kind overrides the deletion schedules and deletion-on-request promise in the privacy notice for the specific data it covers, until it is resolved. We never volunteer data beyond what the law compels.
The service evolves; when these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and continued use after a change means the updated terms apply. These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction where the service operator is established. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
